Edited one month agoFantastic performance, and it's great to hear the 'End of the Century' stuff without the Spector-ization. For me, there's no such thing as too much decently-recorded pre-'90s live Ramones. The recording itself is a bit buzzy and overloaded, and the mastering here does the best it can with what's on the tape. The super-long (about 26 minutes) second side doesn't help things in of some audible inner groove distortion (although to be fair, it's as minimal as I'd assume possible.) Kinda wish they'd made this a three-sider like the Rocket to Russia-era set, but no big deal. If you think you'll like this, you will. Plus, as of this writing in mid-2024, it's still pretty cheap.

All of the official Ramones live releases recorded during 70s or 90s. This is from 80s - and that's awesome. Sounds like something between great bootleg and official live recording. My vinyl copy have a strange confusing number 13460 (of 13000 total). Overall a great release.

Edited 3 years agoAn interesting record. Especially of this time.
So far I only have live shows in my collection from June and September 1980. This one fits in perfectly.

Sounds as good as you'd expect a live punk album from 1980 to sound, to my ear. Lots of fun to hear these songs live during this era.
