Bought mine used. Awesome pressing and sound quality. Clear, deep, and wide soundstage on my Purefidelity Harmony TT, OL Enterprise tonearm, Hana ML cart. -

This record sounds absolutely amazing on my system! 😍 It was mixed and mastered well, but that's to be expected from Steely Dan! 😎
As for the vinyl itself?
My copy is perfectly flat. There is pretty much zero surface noise anywhere on the record 😁 (I say "pretty much" because no record is ever 100% free of pops and clicks) But my copy is dead silent between the tracks!
The only issue with my copy was a very small non-fill about 20 seconds into the last track on Side 2 😕 It's very short, barely noticeable, but it has that tell tale "ripping" sound 😫
Not a major problem. 99.99999% of the record sounds absolutely amazing 😍 It's just that one tiny fraction of a second non-fill glitch. But it still sucks nevertheless! 😫
I can't say I ever found a record manufactured in the 1960s - 1980s with a non-fill issue, but it seems to be a common issue with records these days! 😮 -

Really great sounding press imo. Now I'm curious how the RSD and Analogue Productions presses compare. I'm not sure if its just my copy or not, but I noticed it has lots of crackles and pops even after cleaning the record. For some odd reason my copy also has two of the exact same inserts -

This was definitely cut a bit hot. You will notice some minor sibilance/tracking issues. However, this release still sounds way better than every other version. Way better than the original CD, 2021 RSD LP, and AP SACD. Highly recommended.
If you have the 2021 RSD LP and are wondering what the difference is, it's just that the new AP 45 has richer and more defined low end and better clarity. The 2021 still sounds great but if you want the perfect release, go for this one. -

Picked up this record sometime last year, and it's about as gnarly as Steely records come. Despite the occasional high-end EQ, you've got yourself an amazing sounding record. Fitted with enough groove and spat to make you dance, think, and ask how human beings got so lucky as to live on the same planet as Walter Becker and Donald Fagen. 11/10 -

I deleted my original review to post a refreshing review. I will keep it simple as can be. This pressing is flawless. The mastering is absolutely exquisite. I have the cd as well. I have an onkyo cd unit, and my turntable is an at-lp40wn with the nude stylus. It sounds so much more louder and punchy on the wax vs. The cd. Its so good. This album is the shit. The songs are so good. Just like Gaucho -

Excellent pressing. My copy is silent and flat and the sound is very dynamic and detailed. Wonderful record!!! Just watch out for some sibilance problems on cheaper systems. However, the AP 45 still sounds better. -
