referencing Abbey Road (LP, Album, Reissue) PCS 7088
Excellent sound. The bass is very detailed. I prefer this over the 2012 and 2019 vinyl releases. If you can get this at a good price, I suggest buying it. -

So does this mean I can slap together some amateurish mixtape and then put it up on Discogs as an "unofficial release"? Because that's what this looks like. -

Would anyone like to explain why this pressing is going for half a million pounds? -
Edited 12 hours agoI had a Purple Label 1978 pressing (EMW, I believe?) and found it really muddy yet harsh and sibilant. I didn't need a copy that would completely blow my mind, just something better defined than my Purple that wouldn't kick my budget out the bathroom window. This one (my run-out: variant 5) does the trick. It's not muddy at all and only occasionally sibilant (ing moments on "Maxwell", "Octopus", "I Want You", and "Bathroom"). Paul's bass and Ringo's kick are well defined and punchy. The harmonies on "Because" are pretty glorious. It's a keeper.

Edited 4 days agomost of the beatles australian records are from the same mothers from the UK, you can tell by comparing the matrix codes to the UK's... same mastering and sounds phenomenal. a must buy

Nice to have but less detailed and less balanced, being more top-end heavy, than a mid-70s UK pressing
-
These old ears reckon this is simply stunning. These remixes make the tracks sound fresh, alive and contemporary. I got some tasty Ruark speakers on the desk, and the soundstage is lush. Bass is warm, not oppressive. Ringo's drums on Carry That Weight are punchy and crisp. Can't fault it.

The good reviews are from sellers, this is really common pressing in every record stores, because is beautiful, clean sounding and almost perfect, but the only flaw is The Sound Quality, it may Sound better than 2019 reissue, but first australian pressing sounds extremely better than this, this One sounds bright, thin bass and no soundstage at all, very boring sounding
