Been over 10 months now since pre-orders for the CD/Cassette format went up on Bandcamp at £60. No physical format have been issued as yet. Communication now seems non existent from artist now . Is it time to report this ? Has anyone received any info about orders ?
I very nearly bought that but was put off by the silly price. Of course the music is great but it now seems clear they are conning people, just like Steve Hitchell has been doing at Echospace Detroit. It looks like a lot of people have bought it and they could have made thousands despite not delivering on the CDs.
To me, they should be reported and Bandcamp should be taking the page down and helping honest customers like yourself to get their money back.
Today sees the release of DAT Tapes 1993-1994 on De:tuned (vinyl and digital). I want to let you know that I originally intended these tracks to be available only on CD and cassette. After pre-orders started on Bandcamp, De:tuned approached me with an offer to release the tracks on vinyl, which I accepted. The differences between DAT Tapes 1993-1994 and the bonus tracks on the CD and cassette releases are the Stasis mixes of Contrapoint (Stasis Mix 1 and 2), which are exclusive to the two releases respectively. Those who purchased the CD and cassette versions of Nuron + Fugue 1993-1996 will be receiving a code for DAT Tapes 1993-1994 in the next few days.
The remixes are also on the way, which is part of the reason why the release has been delayed (along with various production issues) and instead of the 2 new remixes there will now be 5 of them to look forward to.
There are also Bandcamp exclusive digital releases planned for early next year which owners of the CD and cassette versions will receive free codes for.

No more updates since October. £60 is way too much, it used to cost £30. I bet the cds don't even exist yet!
Can't hurt to try. He should have let De:tuned handle the cd release as well, then maybe it would be out by now. Just release the cd then send codes for the extra tracks later. I love his music, but he has to become a better businessman!
I have also pre-ordered the CD and made an inquiry to bandcamp.
I received a response from Nurmad last week saying that pressing has been delayed since it has been decided to add some remixes to the CD, some of which are still in the making.
No update on a new release date though.

I've requested a refund which he said would do - but no refind as yet? Has been almost a month I think. Luckily I paid Mastercard through PayPal and have all the emails so will be reporting it to them soon.
I have ed bandcamp in the meanwhile and they responded twice. Although Nuron was in cc he never bothered to respond or give an update. It is sad to see him not fulfilling his orders and not even communicating anything

However, I believe this guy is simply milking well meaning music lovers for cash. Don't fall for it! He puts a CD up for £30, people start buying it and he puts the price up to £60 and people still buy it. Well over a year later no one has their CDs. If that doesn't set alarm bells ringing what will?
He has sold almost 360 items. A lot for an underground electronic release. Let say the average price is £30 depending on what people bought and when - he's made over £10,000 and shipped nothing!
CDs especially can be produced relatively quickly and cheaply. This is a con and I'll be truly amazed if anyone actually receives anything.

Update: I have been refunded without further update or explanation. Just "Refund for CD purchase on Bandcamp" in payment, and to bandcamp: "Order payment has been refunded to the buyer via PayPal. Please confirm with the buyer."

^^The digital version came out in August 2021. According to a post in this thread, Nuron says the physical version is still coming, on three discs now?!
latest message i got from nuron "CDs are still coming - waiting for dan curtin to finish his remix and should be ready to go into production. Might still be a few months yet until it starts shipping though. The refunds are requested by the buyers, if anyone requests a refund the will get their money back. hope this helps"

I don't think this is correct. Release dates can be shifted back into the past on bandcamp. The physical releases (CD / Cassette) had been announced around December 2021 (which is when I had sent the payment) and the digital version was provided months later.

I have the files on my laptop, they were ed on August 11, 2021. The extra tracks initially said to be exclusive to the cd/cassette were eventually released as DAT Tapes 1993-1994, that came out later.

I know it’s been so long since it was announced but many people complained when I released the unreleased stuff on vinyl that I’ve tried to make up for it in having more remixes added to the package. It’s taken longer than I thought to get all the remixes done but it’s almost ready now but if you still want a refund please let me know and I will issue a refund.

Yes sadly I agree with you sir. I sent him a rather spikey message on Instagram & has since refunded me (today). It's sad as I really wanted the CD release & to believe in him as an artist as well as a businessman but sadly both don't align.

Well...in all honesty I do. It's been way over two years since I placed the order & just like everyone else, held on to the belief he was being honest & getting things sorted, but time after time 'push back' after 'push back' & I just thought, enough is enough. He refunded me my £51.

found my paypal invoice for this, 16th September 2021 - didn't think i could raise a dispute after nearly 2 1/2 years but it's done now.... will see if i can get a refund that way.
This is so shocking & from an artist I know we all held in very high regard & we're tainted by this treatment.
He has truly spat on his fans. I know for one, that I will not be buying any of his music in future.

I can only say I'm happy I got the originals since long ago, but man... What a clusterfuck. There is a scenario where everything got out of control for him, and he had no ill intentions, but he needs to tell that story, or make the best amends he can.
Here is the latest update. The third CD is taking longer than expected as I've had to wait for the remixes to be completed by other artists. I've added even more remixes to the list as I thought I might as well get all the tracks remixed instead of 4 or 5 as I mentioned previously. It's almost done now so should be in production by the end of the month and shipping by next month or April at the latest.
....another string along. His words are empty now. I really hope he comes through with all this for his customers/fans...but it just doesn't seem likely IMO.
He could have kept the remixes for a separate release or sent codes to buyers when they were finished. The cd should have come out around the time De:tuned put out the unreleased tracks on vinyl, which was over 15 months ago!
Groundhog Day or what. I find it absolutely staggering that people are still holding onto hope that this guy is going to deliver. He's clearly dropping a few strategic refunds in the hope that people will share that in forums like this to prolong the pretense that anything will ever be shipped.
He's a scam artist. Don't be suckers! The vast majority of producers are honest, spend your hard earned with them and put this down to experience.
So in December he wrote that he wants to ship in January to avoid Christmas post, but suddenly he has the idea to add more remixes with the same "excuse" he used one year ago, i.e. waiting for remixes to be completed? Find the mistake.
The whole situation is bizarre.. he'd make more money in the long run by completing and delivering this release, but i bet he's lost a lot of potential customers with regards to future releases after this whole ordeal

If it is any good, it will eventually bbe released on wax, and then, many of us here will consider it. Until then, there are thousands of great cheap wax - and less so cheap - to focus on.
But I'm glad for you that you feel excited.
I have all 4 Likemind 12"s, Stasis' Disco 4000 12", and the Phenomyna 12" with Nuron's remix. I'm not the only one here with that predicament, I believe, I'll wait and see, happy either way.
