Side 2 has some surface noise during softer sections of tracks, but it's constant on that side. Still, overall, a good record, I grew up loving this album, so I gave it 4 stars, which would be a 5 star top shelf without the popping on side 2.

I'm going through my collection to add to Discogs and I wasn't sure what to expect with this pressing being a "low price" version, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I've listened to this album for years (since bought new 10+ years ago), and I found coming back to albums now with much more knowledge about vinyl music, I'm often left disappointed in what was once acceptable. This was not the case here: this vinyl is well-pressed with a big, full sound. I don't pick up any additional instrumentation compared to a digital copy, but the music has more body on this record than my CD. Perfectly serviceable copy here.

I have a couple of different Matador pressings to compare to and this one sounds very dynamic and open to my ears. No pops or skips on mine. Dead quiet other than glorious Pavement coming through the speakers. May have just gotten lucky. I have an older Thorens TD 115 turntable with Ortofon Super OM 20 phono cartridge. Not super high end.
My version:
Includes insert and MP3 coupon and has OLE 079-0 on spine but OLE 079-1 vinyl on label.
Barcode: 7 44861 00790 6
Matrix / Runout (Runout Side A): OLE 079-A-RE-1 WG/N~P
Matrix / Runout (Runout Side B): OLE-079-B-RE-1 WG/N~P
No slipmat like Saturnin :-(

Based on the matrix runouts and weight, I have this pressing. But it sounds quite alright for me; zero noise and no skips. I just got lucky I guess? Curious how much better the 180g pressing sounds.
