This is the first pressing of the legendary concert at Pompeii. This release sounds nothing like any other version. The Pink Floyd sound like they were performing the songs straight from hell (meaning the vocals sound like they are way below their recorded pitch). I used to own the remastered version from 2016 on vinyl but I sold it because, even though it too had the vocals way below the original pitch, the songs simply sounded way off with the bass boosted up too much. Then I stumbled upon this release and got to hear it online. I fell in love in an instant (analysis). I had been purchasing some stuff off japanese auctions and found a listing of this release that had sold only a month prior for an absolute bargain... so I was livid that I had missed it by such short time window... However! I was very fortunate to find it a week later at a somewhat good price in spite of its rarity! Listening to it now it's simply beautiful!
