This is my favorite 1975 lp and the one I consider their #1. Bloated? Yes it is, but it’s bloated with a fantastic variety of quality songs that really hit all of the feels. Great soundstage on the vinyl pressing doesn’t hurt either.

Was there ever a signed version sold of this? I won a copy for Prime Day in 2016 and was told it was the only copy "they thought" but it was only a random rep on the phone.

Edited 8 years agoA solid sophomore album from The 1975. I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it deserves a spot in every record collection. It's bold, bright, and dreamy, in a fuzzy-around-the-edges kind of way, like a bleary neon sign. The brilliant moments in songs like Ugh! and The Sound are balanced with softer tracks like Please Be Naked and Paris. What results is an interesting mix of texture that doesn't exhaust the ear or put to sleep the mind. Beautiful done. I spin this one very often.
