Edited 3 months agoVery rich soundstage and separation of instruments. It's Sonic Youth at their best. My copy does have a bumping defect around the edge of the record, as evident also by the stylus bumping up and down, it is also a bit crackly in ages - as someone else stated SY is all about noise so the unwanted noise doesn't take away from the listening experience that much and kind of adds a little bit extra to this album. Overall a great pressing for the money.

My copy matches this release in all ways except the "Back To Black" sticker and voucher are not present.

This version sounds really good, no complaints about the sound, but you can really notice clicks/surface noise all along the record. Not much noticeable since Goo is really all about noise ;)
I think the original CD sounds even better. -
Sound good but my copy have a lot of surface noise and I have the same problem after a ultrasonic cleaning... :(

this 'Back To Black' vinyl edition sounds pretty awesome
and has been on hi-rotation since it came in. -
Excellent mastering, but there is noticable surface noise, especially at the start/end of both sides. -

i always felt back to black series is much better how it's told. got many and only one pops at the intro . one from 25. respect the classics and get down are crap to me,..
