How is it that this collection of B-sides is easily the best release by this band; never slouches in the studio during the same period that this collection documents? The quality of many of these throwaways easily exceeds not only many of their own A-sides, but most of their contemporaries as well. And the ones that would not have ed muster as A-sides on their own serve to irably broaden the band's scope in a usually fascinating fashion. I used to own the CD singles that comprised this package, but grew tired of the remixes. Particularly in the 90s. So I sold off the singles, but in listening to them one more time, was struck by the quality of the B-sides, so I planned on getting a copy of this "one day." As it turned out, that day came before I had even divested myself of all of my singles. Listening to these concentrated in a single package with no remixes/A-sides is a very powerful experience! I should have bought this when it was released.
