Since no one else mentioned.
Somewhere along the line this set was not just remastered but remixed as well.
The first edition vinyl has at its head with Noddy is panned hard to one side with the band entering the sound field a bit later at after the first sung “I’ll be wearing a shroud.”
The CD issues, at least since the Salvo releases all feature a full band mix from the start.
The initial mix sounds awkward where the second mix is smoothed out. I’m not sure when the later mix was made, but the original vinyl sure is not the same mix. -
What a fantastic piece of ROCK.
Rock in the sense of: teenager, noise, screaming,
riot, working class, fun, boys...
this is NO METAL, NO PUNK, NO ROCK'N'ROLL
it's SLADE (young, foolish like Anglo-Saxons who decided
to ship over the canal 1500 years before.)
