Notes

First record pressed with tracks by Jeff Mills by mistake. Runs on 45rpm instead of 33rpm like the original.

Contains Wrath Of The Punisher (also on Sirius-Tresor Compilation and Waveform Transmission Vol.3) on A2 and three other unreleased trax like on Waveform Transmission Series.
Wrath Of The Punisher here is a few seconds longer, than on other releases, because there's one single hit of the synth-sound at the beginning. On the other releases, the song starts immediately with the sequence. Also it is about 3% slower than the version on the other releases.

Second record comes with the original Hood tracks.

About 200 copies made.
This was a mispressed repress run.

I had this years ago and found the two untitled mispress tracks much more interesting than the 'main event'.

There is also another version of this release, which has an extra track on one side (c ?); i have a white label of it, as well the original.

As an introduction to minimal techno, this double 12" is unsured, many have tried to emulate it, no one has succeeded.

This was Rob Hood's first release following his departure - along with Mills - from Underground Resistance. It is doubtful that he intended to kick start another direction for techno to head off in, though is it hard to argue that, at the time, it certainly needed something to prevent it's descent into loud and relentless boring jackhammer 4/4ness.

Personally, I think the "moveable parts, vol.1." ep is a far superior release...

      cheers, marc.

The Mills mispress record sounds like it was recorded in his New York/Limelight phase after he left Underground Resistance in 1992. Hard-hitting techno ala Waveform Transmissions Vol 1.
