As one of the most celebrated and popular Dead show, this one should be kept in print. I don’t get why it isn’t, it would constantly sell!
-
The One! Superb Exquisiteness with
Jerry on a sunburst Strat in the Sun!
Every Deadhead needs this on vinyl -
-
I would give 5 boxsets for this one, I would give half of my collection for this boxset I would SELL MY ORGANS FOR THIS BOXSET. WHY SO EXPENSIVE AHHHHHH
-
This is obscene. You can get a superior sounding CD version (with DVD of the concert to boot) for $30 sealed! Plus with the CD you don't have to get up off your ass to flip sides. And Dark Star on 2 sides? What am I missing here? Not to mention one of the most circulated tapes in their history, we've heard it a thousand times. What would they pay for an 8-track, 10 grand?
-
Just love it. Must have for any collector. Good pressing, nice design and one of the best live concerts ever
-
I have sealed copies of many Dicks Picks vinyl. Please message me if you'd be interested in trading any for a copy of this.

Edited 4 years agoI bought this when it was first released through Amazon. I think the Price was $70? While the going rate today for this release is a little crazy, I will say that there are definitely sonic advantages to having this over the CD or Flac (better soundstage and separation of instruments / drums sound bigger and more life like) , but of course the Dark Star is split up. Not that big of a deal imo, but something to consider. My copy is very quite and has no ticks or pops. An all around stellar release. I wish they would reissue it for the fans who missed out. And of course the music is top notch. IT is absolutely my most spun Dead release of many.
-
The fact that they split the Dark Star between sides is an instant turn-off to this. I’ve had the show for decades, and wanted to pick up this set, but the minute I saw that split, it was a deal breaker! WHEN WILL RHINO LEARN!
