As one of the most celebrated and popular Dead show, this one should be kept in print. I don’t get why it isn’t, it would constantly sell!

This is obscene. You can get a superior sounding CD version (with DVD of the concert to boot) for $30 sealed! Plus with the CD you don't have to get up off your ass to flip sides. And Dark Star on 2 sides? What am I missing here? Not to mention one of the most circulated tapes in their history, we've heard it a thousand times. What would they pay for an 8-track, 10 grand?

I have sealed copies of many Dicks Picks vinyl. Please message me if you'd be interested in trading any for a copy of this.

I bought this when it was first released through Amazon. I think the Price was $70? While the going rate today for this release is a little crazy, I will say that there are definitely sonic advantages to having this over the CD or Flac (better soundstage and separation of instruments / drums sound bigger and more life like) , but of course the Dark Star is split up. Not that big of a deal imo, but something to consider. My copy is very quite and has no ticks or pops. An all around stellar release. I wish they would reissue it for the fans who missed out. And of course the music is top notch. IT is absolutely my most spun Dead release of many.

The fact that they split the Dark Star between sides is an instant turn-off to this. I’ve had the show for decades, and wanted to pick up this set, but the minute I saw that split, it was a deal breaker! WHEN WILL RHINO LEARN!
