claims to be Dolby encoded (presumably Dolby B) but i'm honestly not sure. my copy sounds extremely muffled with Dolby turned on.
with Dolby B turned off, it doesn't have that characteristic overcompressed, treble-boosted sound you normally get from an unprocessed Dolby B cassette.
my deck is able to properly decode other Dolby B cassettes, so i don't suspect it's the culprit here. maybe my copy is just out of whack. -
Agreed with DogWater, why this wasn't released in its full glory on AWHYDWMB,G can't be anything but a curator's missed opportunity. The transition here between the last M in L segments is unparalleled. A minor and perhaps only a thing for us w the cassette to notice/care about, but the cassette version remains the ultimate rendition of what is Moments In Love.

Edited 4 years agoThe version of LoveBeat here has yet to appear on CD. The "..And What Have You Done With My Body, God" box set made a valiant attempt, but sadly got it wrong. The cassette version has no talking at the beginning of LoveBeat. "(Three Fingers Of) Love" on Daft is close, but still not the same. Which is all a great shame as the transition here from Beaten into LoveBeat works well and deserves a re-release.
