I’m quite new to the Elton John catalogue, apart from the hits. This album is generally hated on for sounding too dated, still I was surprised by the level of quality on the album. This Town is a great Synth heavy opener and starts with great momentum and drive. Cry to Heaven and Shoot down the Moon are my favourites in the album, the latter being one of the best Elton and Taupin songs ever written. Nikita and Wrap Her Up are classic 80s Cheese, but are so much fun to listen too. Satellite is a great Synth Heavy but some what experimental. The album dips in my opinion with Candy by the Pound, probably the worst Elton song I’ve heard so far on an album. Should have been replaced with Act of War.
