was anticipated to add this to my collection, but i’m a tad bit disappointed. the vinyl itself is beautiful and there were no pops or cracks in mine but the sleeve is very different than what i was used to for 7” sleeves. its folded carelessly to the point where i can see a diagonal strip of white at the top that they were supposed to fold inwards. the picture quality also isnt great they could’ve had a more vibrant image. no hate im happy to have it in my collection, just wanted to warn perfectionists like me :) -
Glitter vinyl is more for the visual appeal and it does affect the overall sound quality, but not really by a lot IMO. If you’re an audiophile you’re not gonna like this if you get annoyed by the most minute pop in the recording.
I feel like this is more memorable as a collectors item for Carpenters than the RSD exclusive. -

Yeah I should have listened to my inner self and not bought this based off the price - filled with clicks and pops likely due to the glitter pressed into it, and they’re LOUD too 😭 Visually it’s stunning but it doesn’t sound as good as it looks unfortunately. $30+ for this after shipping is actually criminal btw -

Edited one year agoHonestly my copy sounds great. Was expecting the glitter to heavily interfere with sound quality but it doesn’t. Very beautiful and happy to finally have a glitter vinyl in my collection (it looks much better in real life than the discogs photos) -
Edited one year agoof course they sent these in a full size mailer completely unprotected lol. both copies i got (fearing one would be damaged so i got a backup in case) are covered in bumps and seam splits. second vinyl release of hers that arrived damaged from her store!
record sounds pretty compressed throughout and very noisy from the glitter but that was expected. the artwork is also EXTREMELY low resolution, to the point it rivals the Target Red Blur Banisters for worst quality cover :( -
