Live / Dead is the arrival and unreachable point of a musical movement that ends here. 1969 is the last year in which this rabble (in a good sense) is at the center of the scene as seminal groups are emerging for a further evolution of rock that will abandon the psychedelic postulate and the flower power to leave room for more varied themes , however often engaged, arm in arm with decidedly more hard sounds. This does not apply to the Grateful Dead since they were able to change their skin the following year with that Workingman's Dead that embraces country-folk and immediately became a classic of the genre, and then continued on this line between ups and downs until the premature disappearance by Garcia in 1995 which decreed the end of the band. The leading group of the psychedelic era has therefore demonstrated its superiority with this Live / Dead by enchanting the whole world with LSD blows and innate madness, a historical find.
