This one should get waaaay more love. The performance and pressing sound quality are as good or better than any of the other GD '77 vinyl releases.
-
Outstanding sound. DaP1 never sounded so good :)
The records came perfectly flat. Feel more like 200g vinyl actually.
They were a little dusty out of the box, but nothing a record brush couldn't take care of. -
Mine sounds pretty good but has a background whooshing noise on every disc. Anyone else have this problem?

I have a LOT of the Dead shows on Vinyl. Really like 1970-1972 stuff and the 1977 tour (Cornell, Buffalo) . And now this. After listening, Its no surprise Dave picked this show for his first "Dave's Picks". It is truly an outstanding performance, and remarkable recording. The Dead at the absolute peak of their craft. I agree with the others this show gives Cornell a run for the money.

Can someone tell how/when this was released? I can’t believe I missed it and don’t want to miss future releases like it.
-
going to finally give my review on this on the 45th anny of the show , such a great show , 1/2 step opener is just amazing . the pressing quality is great . the sleeves could be better as the plastic inner in 2 out of 5 was not even glued to the bottom but that's my only complaint

Spectacular release! Absolutely stellar sound quality and immaculate pressing. Apart from the Analogue Productions’ release of ‘Reckoning’ I don’t think i’ve ever heard the Dead this full, this clear or this dynamic. And this good, for that matter. Killer setlist and killer may ‘77 playing.

I really hope this is the new standard for rhino Grateful Dead vinyl releases, this one sounds amazing! Clear , flat , dynamic, just amazing! I have a bunch of Grateful Dead vinyl boxsets so I am speaking with experience. Wow! Extremely happy with this release, amazing sound & quality, the box cover looks really nice as well 🤙🍻!

Another excellent release by the Dead and Rhino. This show is one of the underrated of that year, amazing versions of the songs in this killer setlist. Performed/recorded the same day of the worldwide premiere of original Star Wars. Mastering and sound is excellent, the vinyl is also very nice and sturdy. Packaging is excellent as well, even though the original shipping method was bizarre. Overall this is setting a high bar for all DPs vinyl releases, but worthy of the first spot

Of the 17 dead box set releases I have on vinyl, this is a standout for sound quality. It easily beats the Buffalo show and Cornell. It's not only mastered louder but it sounds better(incredible dynamics). Phenomenal sound to this one. The discs were absolutely filthy before a wet clean but this has become the norm for new releases. Cannot recommend this release enough. The content in the second set speaks for itself. This is a fantastic release to be treasured.
