Edited 2 months agoBrought mine and found it was extremely warped but still plays surprisingly well. Would recommend this mono version. Saucerful Of Secrets is one of my fav Floyd records.

Get this. Know your pressing, read threads like this. Follow your gut and use common sense. Do your research but buyer beware.

Edited 3 months agoGreat seperation, soundstage and mastering. This is a fantastic value for a play copy since they are cheap and sound wonderful.
Technics deck, Grace f9 cart, AR3 speakers. -
Edited 3 months agoSound is overall pretty great, maybe enough so to make this my go-to copy. What you get here is really solid punch and bass. I think the SQ does vary a bit track to track. Corporal Cleg sounds like it lacks the punch of the earlier songs on side A. And sometimes it can sound a little congested (like the begining of the title track). Stereo probably benefits there. But I'm pretty satisfied with this one overall and it doesn't seem as bright to me as the Piper mono, which to me is a good thing.

Super cleqan and quiet pressing! Im not sure it sounds better than the stereo pepress I have from 71 but I would have to dig through 1000 albums to find it- I would buy this mono version- its decent

Just got this for my birthday and guess what?
Side 2 has no label whatsoever. Has this been seen elsewhere? Or do I really have some bizarre one-off? -
Fantastic sounding record! Was hesitant in buying the mono version but glad I did. Such clarity and a very high fidelity sound all around. Saucer has such deep bass, it sends waves that shakes the room if I’m not careful.
Very much pleased with this record. -
Silent, immaculate pressing quality. Seems like people aren’t blown away by this mono mix , but I actually think it complements this album. I always found the level balancing in the stereo mix problematic, and those issues are gone in mono. Everything is blended together so well and it all sounds warm and beautiful. A pity that they didn’t include an inner sleeve for lyrics/photos though. I strongly recommend either way.
