Edited 3 years agoNot the best sounding pressing - a little distant and tonally grey, with a lack of instrumental definition. I'm not sure if that is the Capitol mastering or due to some other reason. Given the incredible sound on the UK first pressings of "Never For Ever" or "The Sensual World", for instance, this is disappointing. I will try and get a UK first press of "Hounds of Love" to compare.
I must voice my appreciation for long-time Bush-collaborator Eberhard Weber's fretless bass playing on "Mother Stands for Comfort". -
Hopefully not too obvious of a question, but is this technically considered the “first” US pressing? Or are the other pressing plant-specific from 1985 the true first presses?
-
Not that I have any plans on selling my copy, but are the ones with the gold capitol/promo stamp in the corner usually worth more than those without?
