Sometimes, with these early Metallica albums, it’s hard to know if it is the mastering, the vinyl pressing itself or simply the recording that is awful. In this case, all is horrible: it’s muffled AF, there are sudden volume or mix changes in the middle of songs, it’s noisy… it sounds like a demo tape made in 1857 in a garage
