Easily their most consistently good album for some time, not a bad tune on the record. The songs have a hard edge with some richly layered swirling electronica but this isn't at the cost of some deliciously luscious pop. The vocals too are melodic, rich, multi-layered and display Manson's skill as a singer. Lyrically the songs are candy covered vitriol, full of fear and loathing, but not without a sense of irony and humour. There's a maturity and willingness to confront some of the political issues of our time which I personally found refreshing.

Listened to the streaming version first (shift work before taking delivery of physical release) and hated the “sound”, got home from work and listened to the green vinyl and absolutely loved it. Played the cd the next day and felt like I was listening to streaming again. The vinyl and track running order of the vinyl works so much better than any other version of this album. It’s great, I love it. If you have a good vinyl playback set up and haven’t already then treat yourself to a vinyl copy

Vinyl with Garbage is a thing that has always worried me. Not Your Kind of People sounds really bad, though not exclusively in vinyl format. Strange Little Birds was much better but not pristine. Their reissues however, have been gorgeous and the sound is immaculate. No Gods No Masters sounds closer to the reissues in of mastering and overall sound quality. It's amazing to listen to the vinyl, the work put into it do the songs proper justice. Musically, this is their absolute best since Version 2.0 although I love their entire discography. Impressed with this output being 25+ years into the game. Don't sleep on this one.
