Great album that is often overlooked in their discography. Can’t believe this doesn’t have a vinyl edition!! Hopefully someone will remedy that someday -
Magnificent coagulation of all things Chris D. Elements of all previous songwriting efforts rest easily on this one album. Singer in fine form, with subtly layered vocals emoting the deep despair over his perfectly restrained band. Songs are compelling and memorable from opener Salty Black Water to Crucified Lovers. The production clips metallic edge, evident on Dragstrip Riot, to a more listenable 90's/60's garage sound
