    An amazing and (nearly) exhausting set of so many incredible songs from Gillian & David. I have both CD and Vinyl sets and while the Vinyl Box set is gorgeous — and the records do sound really warm and vibrant from Acony — I do have two comments on the Vinyl set. One on packaging and one on quality control. Firstly, the records arrive in thin paper 'inner' sleeves (inside the lovely textured outer box) and while this suffices, I do wish they were in thicker, studier and had anti-static inners at this cost. While the set arrived safe and sound, the records arrived SO DIRTY out of the box: honestly dirtier than I've seen for brand new vinyl and took two cleanings to get all the paper, dust and packing surface junk off the records. Not to grumble too much, but needed to be shared. Thankfully the music is AMAZING and records sound lovely once clean! Acony, please use quality liners/inners, this music deserves better!!

        This box set is a treasure trove of riches - a loveletter to true fans. Impeccably performed and expertly recorded, don't let the "boots" aspect dissuade you from buying. This is as essential as her regular albums, imho.

        The first two discs are more mellow listening to keep you company for those late, lonely nights. The third has slightly more upbeat arrangements, adding some nice rhythmic diversity.

        I was fortunate to have a perfect copy, despite the unfortunate paper sleeves, the one complaint of this otherwise flawless collection.

          I don't get why they keep going to great lengths to produce these wonderful albums, sonics, and pressings, and then they insert the records in cheap, rough paper sleeves. The three records had an abundance of sleeve scuffs and paper scraps right out the box. Wet cleaned them and fingers,crossed they are inaudible. Come on Acony, use a poly or rice paper sleeve already!

              Wonderful music with sonics to match. My records are flat and sound stunning. The sparse arrangements really suit this style of music.

              If you’re a fan of these guys you will not be disappointed with this box.
