Always assumed the iconic “ow” came from Cameo’s Larry Blackmon, but just looked it up and it’s from Oran “Juice” Jones’s Shaniqua. -
This is one of the few albums in existence where every song is a 10/10 Masterpiece. I'm not sure what the producer was doing within the months of creating this album but it's something that's never been replicated again!

Edited 2 years agoThis is an average album with a few good tracks but nothing to equal the perfection of Ride on Time. Strike It Up is the best of the rest of the House tracks featured. I like the cover version of Earth, Wind & Fire - Fantasy, which is a mix between House and R&B. It has a great bassline, very typical of 89/90. The title track Dreamland is a lovely little ambient/Balearic mood piece that deserves more than the two minutes runtime given. I had it on repeat about five times. The other non 4/4 track on there is Ghost Box, which is a nice downtempo saxstrumental groove. -
Great album. I love the uptempo tracks but am I the only one that also really likes the balearic moods of Dreamland and Ghost Box?
