I can't say enough how important this album is. When everything heavy began moving in other extreme directions, this trio hit MTV's Headbanger's Ball with gospel-inspired and Beatlesque vocals, audible bass lines, and guitar tones that even your papa could appreciate. This is probably the most majestic of King's X's albums, and an absolute favorite among many musicians. The original vinyl pressings are killer and worth every penny, with plenty of low end and highs, and you can truly appreciate the individual vocal contributions better on wax, no doubt. Interesting too, are the drums. When you compare vinyl tracks to digital copies, you often gain a bit of punch at the cost of some cymbal integrity for some reason - but not on these early King's X releases. Definitely recommended for anyone holding onto their original CD or cassette. You won't regret the upgrade, I promise.
