This is so damn good. Funky as hell, some great grooves, tight band, just awesome. I would have killed to be in the crowd for this show. This pressing is also impressive, quite simply it sounds like it was recorded yesterday. Great mix for a live show in a hot sweaty club too. One of the crown jewels of my vinyl collection. Five stars and a happy face.

Absolute killer recording (and remastering) of a great, fun to listen to-session. Two downers: why not a Gatefold, and theres non-fill on A2 "Expressions" on my copy.
-
Amazing "jem" of set... Benson is killin' it.... Got to get some more Lonnie...sounds amazing.... Hard to believe this was never released... originally Rega 301 tonearm/ blue point no2 / Technics sl1200

Great sound, better performance. This was my first exposure to Dr. Smith’s funky organ work and I dig it a lot. Only complaint: would it have killed Blue Note to release this thing in a gatefold? Two LPs in paper sleeves jostling for position in a standard jacket is not ideal. Worth it regardless.
-
Fun, funky album with a great party vibe. And beautiful package, mastered by Kevin Gray. It sounds fantastic, especially for a live album. Can hear the rattle of the snare and off-mic voices.
-
Brilliant in every way. Lonnie’s crew are tight and funky as hell. Great reissue: sound quality is spot on, considering it’s a live album, all instruments are well spaced. Breakbeat goldmine.
