This record has been cut way too bright. Very disappointing, given their earlier Japan-pressed catalogue sounds great. -

Purchased this for "I heard a rumour" and "love in the first degree" fairly great and clean recording. Vocals are clear and not muddy. I guess this is worth the current price. -
CD1-9 is the full-length Base Tone mix of Nathan Jones that apparently was originally found on a US 12" Single of the saim song. The version used on the original album is the Theme from Rainman version, which is an edit of this mix.

In Argentine edition, "Some girls" and "Strike It Rich" are maxi versions.- -
Edited 11 months agoIgnore the below inane commentary - this isn’t a digital vs analogue debate. Nothing more than a money-grabbing release. Low resolution artwork, and substantially different mastering for both the vinyl and the CD. Vinyl is quite dull / flat, whereas the CD is harsh and suffers from severe sibilance. Pretty looking things don’t always mean they have substance. Save you money and buy an original Japan pressing - that’s about as good as it gets.

Edited 7 years agoRegrettably the quality of all the videos has been deliberately deteriorated into blatant NTSC system instead of PAL. If they did their best to keep the highest possible quality, we would enjoy 720×576 pixels (PAL) and not the shoddy 720×480 (NTSC). But there is even worse. Bearing in mind the black vertical bars the effective resolution is 600×480 pixels. Shame! Apparently Edsel (and unfortunately not only they) turned out to be sycophants once again. Why the hell they disdain the European customers by spoiling the quality?! If Americans really insist on the worse quality for them, let they do it on their . Hands off the PAL quality! Their DVD equipment cannot play PAL whereas European can manage both PAL and NTSC. And that ought to be their issue only! I am very disappointed because of such attitude and it is next to impossible to believe that we will ever see the unspoiled videos (in PAL) by NTSC application. Lost forever, I am afraid! There is proof though that not every record company disregards the quality matters. Even in the year 2015 PWL Records released first four albums by Kylie Minogue supplemented with digital versatile discs of PAL resolution. Well done! Keep it up! There is no excuse. Take the example form them! It is not an insurmountable task.

Have the same version, with few differences. My cd has on the matrix the numbers 828 061-2 02 # instead of 828 061-2 01 # and also text on the matrix / mould says: MADE IN , NOT -MADE IN W. BY PDO- -

Can anyone confirm the note here about the megamix (track 13)? I thought this megamix was the same as one that came on the free 12" with the vinyl reissue - i.e. the mix without "Bad For Me"?
