One of the more fun listening experiences of an Aesop Rock album from his most recent LPs, I walked away from this one learning about hemaphrodite snails, an art presentation from a painter who just showed a slideshow about Ali v. Foreman's "Rumble In The Jungle" and Aesop Rock's breaking down the science of atoms, DNA structures and the GOD particle.
80's hi hat loops, record scratches and spacey synths that sound like something off of Tron, "Black Hole Superette" ie tye gateway to Aesop's most entertaining dimension yet, though still maintaining his penchant with the pen for stories unheard of in the realm of the Hip-Hop genre. Aesop's always fresh, but with "Black Hole Superette" this album of his is more easily digestable than the more single narrative driven albums in his storied discography.
