As Jungluthr states, this is a beast of a mastering job! Aggressive, in your face loud yet reveals nice subtle variances in the mix. Reminds me of the OG Clash UK releases where guitars just jump from the speakers yet retain all the midrange and thumping bass. The volume is rather modest so you can fucking crank the sound to 11, without any shrillness or sibilance. This attacks you. Get it. -

This version has the super thin European cardboard sleeve that seems to be standard for most Euro records of the period. It's a good pressing and I'm so used to listening to it for 40 years now that the version without Louie Louie and with the other TV Party sounds weird... -

This 16-bit Qobuz reissue sounds.....good. There's a lo-fi vibe that actually suits the punk ethos. Given that this was recorded in 1981 on likely a shoestring budget is also a factor. The gritty garage sound does not hide the amazing energy of this epic album. -

I think this is my pressing. But, it is SST Records, you will never be certain unless you are the original owner and the moment you bought it. Ha! SST likes to keep you guessing! I once had a nervous breakdown trying to identify a Husker Du “Zen Arcade” pressing… -
