David Lee Roth – Eat 'Em And Smile

Well I'll just say this pressing is a monster sound capturing DLR and his band at their best. Bit crackly not sure if it's just my copy needing a clean. Great record though!

Grabbed a VG+ for $10 at used store.

This is a great album by David Lee Roth, and sounds great too.

An essential - if uneven - David Lee Roth release. It's hard to argue with the rhythm section which - consisting of Steve Vai, Greg Bisonette, and Billy Sheehan - was second to none. This version is very clean, dynamic, natural sounding with none of the hyper-compression which characterized later hard-rock CD releases, so I personally find no need to seek it out on vinyl and pay the , but each to their own.

Sonrisa Salvaje is a studio album by David Lee Roth , released in 1986, and is the Spanish version of the album Eat 'Em and Smile . The idea of ​​recording an album in Spanish came from bassist Billy Sheehan after reading an article in a magazine that claimed that half of Mexico 's population was between the ages of 18 and 27, so there was a great opportunity to access that market. ​ The only difference between both albums was Roth's voice (who required the services of a Spanish tutor) since the instrumentation on both was the same.

I'm not even a huge hard rock fan, but this album and pressing is killer.

I got my copy pre-owned, but the pressing has held up well. Pretty much noise-free, and so on. Fun as always!

My copy of this release has everything correct except for the EAST is on side one not side two.

Phenomenal pressing to my ears, full rich sound with outstanding dynamic range. The bass and drums are punchy and Steve Vai's guitars are as soaring and majestic as ever. Japanese quality at its finest.
