I cannot believe this resells for so much now, yes, the vinyl sounds insane to my ears, but the box is not as sturdy as I’d expect and the single sleeve for TFM is rubbish. Just buy the picture disc and wait for a repress

It's far from the original digital version, not in of quality, but in of the songs. There are echoes of vocals, like in "Alejandro," that aren't audible on the vinyl version, but they are in the digital version. I miss sounds and effects; it's a very flat sound. This is also true of Gaga's vocals, which sound a bit chipper, and it's not my turntable.

I still don't understand why they don't release a normal, explicit version of this EP. Just a simple black vinyl with the explicit songs. It seems cheaper to me than making a picture disc.

Conclusion
I was very disappointed with this release. I don't think it was worth the retail price back them and definitely NOT WORTH the scalper prices being asked today.I sold my copy. If you really want TFM album just buy the picture disc.

This is the faded appearance of the European version, and the European version has never had a silver version.

this needs to be reissued as well, not exactly this but 3lp with both the fame and fame monster on it

Ultimately got this picture disc as it is the only way to get this masterpiece on vinyl for a decent price. Was kinda nervous as it was my first picture disc ever but it sounds really good ! There’s definitely surface noise between tracks and a couple of pops but nothing distracting from the music, some actual vinyl records sound worse than this picture disc does tbh. Mastering is great, although somewhat unbalanced : the highs are a bit behind, need to EQ the treble on my amp. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase !

just read this note which is not true, I bought mine at a Best Buy (the tag is still up in the shrink wrap, it was $89.99 back in the day) I I went BROKE on that trip just because of this box lol.

Reviewing every record in my collection:

Cool looking boxset, but not much more than that.

This boxset is really gorgeous; The outer box, outer sleeves and colored vinyls all look great, but are of really cheap quality. The outer box is already damaged on top just because of puting it in and out of the shelf and there's no proper inner sleeves for the vinyls, just plain white paper sleeves (Which makes me wonder, if they made an insert for The Fame Monster, why didn't they just made it an inner sleeve or gatefold) but all in all, for the price this released for back in 2020 (40$) it's more than serviceable, you can't ask much more for it since its a really budget pressing and it shows

Now, how does it sound? Very divisive. The Fame sounds AMAZING, and I mean it, deep bass, nice mids and really cool highs, a 10/10 pressing. But the main reason for which most people will want this release is the regular pressing of the The Fame Monster EP, which, quite Honestly sounds like a really, mid digital release pressed onto a vinyl. Yes, it's dead silent which maybe the Picture Disc isn't (I don't own it myself) but the sound is really muffled and compressed, I think the best description for it is that it sounds like a bad 70s vinyl, where they would just press a cassette tape onto a vinyl.

When this was released, this was definitely a great deal, but now that it has sky rocketed in price it's not worth the money it goes for at all. If you are really looking for a good sounding pressing of this albums, just buy a regular The Fame pressing and the TFM Picture Disc.
