Van Morrison – His Band And The Street Choir

Best sound of this album ever. Pressing isn’t dead silent. It’s not distracting by any means, but it’s not a perfect pressing. That being said, if you love this album it’s a no brainer

I have a "hybrid" Warner Canada LP pressing of His Band And The Street Choir on the palm tree label, not listed anywhere on Discogs. Side 1 was pressed from the U.S. Robert Ludwig STERLING Sound lacquer cut. Side 2 was pressed from an inhouse CBS Don Mills, Ontario lacquer cut.

Deadwax (etched): Side 1: WS 1884 39780-A-1E STERLING RL.

Side 2: 39781-1A 2-HD.

You really can’t go wrong with putting on a Van Morrison album. Brilliant songwriter surrounded by gifted musicians. I very impressed with the sound quality of my pressing. I highly recommend.

Sweet Jannie and Gypsy Queen are reversed on the back cover. They're in the correct order on the label.

Bad non-fill throughout the last track on side one, had to return it unfortunately.

I have what I believe is a close match to the run-outs listed on the Santa Maria pressing, but mine is a gatefold. I can't find anything otherwise close in other early pressings. This LP sounds very, very good.

Sonics are good. Not the most quiet pressing but way ahead of other offerings that claim to be top of the line. This is well worth having if one is willing to shell out the money. Album cover and sleeve are solid. Recommend.

Excellent sounding release. Robert Ludwig (RL) pressing! A legend in the business.

Outstanding sound. Really impressed with this pressing. Oddly enough mine is copy #0000/5000 which has to be some sort of mistake.

Ordered September arrived over two months later (warner). Sounds great. Arrived in good condition except B2 factory flaw/blemish but plays fine. Also purchased the Cars Rhino release and for both I don't like the heavier cardboard.
