Peter King Lathe Cut Records

Peter King Lathe Cut Records is a New Zealand record cutting studio run by Peter King (9). Peter specialises in cutting polycarbonate records one by one using four disc cutting lathes rather than pressing records. The operation began in the late 1980s in the town of Geraldine and as a result King's records are sometimes referred to as "Geraldine pressings". Due to the unique production process Peter King Lathe Cut Records specialises in small-runs in quantities as low as 20 discs. As of 2022, Peter has ceased operations due to worsening eyesight.
